Cup and dish coasters

I made two coasters for a good friend's birthday. There was a cup coaster and also a dish coaster. I sprayed a layer of waterproof gloss so that it would withstand any liquid from ruining it. However, it doesn't quite gloss much which is a real bummer as it would look way prettier with a nice and thick shiny surface.
